Tips on bulding a proper landing page

Hello fellow indie hackers,

I am creating a landing page to validate my idea and hopefully find some early adopters to my future SaaS project.

I have been a frontend developer for over 3 years with a splash of backend development, yet I have never built a landing page before. :l

I have a rough idea of what should be the focus. Honestly, I would use a third party solution or build it from scratch, whichever is the most effective approach for me.

I am curious to know what resources have you found useful or what wisdom nuggets that you would like to share that will help me ace this step of the journey?

Warm regards,
An indie hacker newbie

My favorites for a quick no-code landing page are https://carrd.co or a template from https://webflow.com. If you're comfortable with React and would like to speed things up then check out https://divjoy.com (disclaimer: my product).

https://carrd.co is the cheapest option and a great option.

I built https://versoly.com/ for SaaS companies, must of my paying customers have came from IH and love the product :)

It comes with forms built in so you can collect emails, we recently launched a blogging CMS so you can create blog posts with it as well.

There are also templates, but the free ones I use to recommend became paid I believe.

I'm also not a fan of simple templates, UI kits can be pretty good though.

Either way I would be very interested in what you chose and why as that will help me :)
