Today I Launched PromptLayer

PromptLayer is an observability platform for AI applications. It helps developers trace requests, visualize workflows, track token usage, monitor costs, and debug failures across multi-step AI systems.

As AI features become more capable, they also become harder to understand. A single user action can involve multiple prompts, models, tools, retries, and branching logic. When something goes wrong, it's often difficult to see where latency was introduced, which step failed, or why costs suddenly increased.

PromptLayer was built to bring the kind of visibility developers expect from modern software tooling to AI workflows.
