Took the plunge - Aiming for independence

Warning: This may be a long post.

A couple months ago, I left a burnout culture software engineering job and picked up a 3 month contract to sort out my next move. I've always had the dream of working for myself, either by introducing a super basic slow burn lifestyle company and/or picking up a couple 3 month contracts throughout the year. I just always put that dream like perpetually 5 years out.

I think this is actually this first step in that vision becoming a reality.

Financially, I don't have a huge amount of runway, but that doesn't seem like a huge issue because software work seems to be in abundance right now. I have full time contract work available for the next 3-4 months, and the chances of finding more of it seem to be easier the more digging and networking I'm doing.

As anyone here knows, that is still just trading time for money, and I want to start planting seeds for the opportunity of having any level of passive income.

If anyone is still reading this, this is where I'd like some feedback, because juggling all these ideas seem like a mistake and I should at least commit to one idea for a little bit and see if there is any traction.

Here are my ideas for trading out the time for money equation.

Potential Paths

1. Info Products
   I've started the wheels rolling here a little bit with my YouTube and Twitter accounts. Over my 10-11 years in the coding world, I've been obsessed with compensation (how it's structured, what it means, chasing money, etc etc) and negotiations around it. And over the years I have learned a lot that I wish I knew when I started. How to understand comp, how to negotiate, how to apply and communicate with recruiters, etc. I love these topics, and although I find it important, I don't think everyone does. I think I could bridge that gap and teach people how to navigate this tech world and learn some lifelong skills of making sure you're paid what you're worth. First Step is building up the material and also the audience. Thus Twitter and Youtube. Overall, I feel like I'll be working on this regardless, because I feel like it's good content, and I enjoy it.
2. Small Business
   Ideas are cheap, I know. But I want to at least build a proof of concept and launch a business analytics tool that's geared to non technical business. Even with highly technical companies I've worked for in the past, the products in this space are highly complicated and very expensive. I want to provide a product that caters to companies that just want the basics: How many units have I sold this month, and what's my MRR, and see it on a pretty dashboard. That's it. I've worked with several companies in the past where I personally had to develop such a product and the business users were over the moon with the outcome. I still need to do some more market research and talk to potential customers, but this is something I think could have legs.
3. My own Consultancy
   To make this lifestyle even lift off, I will be contracting with Rails and React jobs I find through my network. As I continue to be taking this kind of work, I am already feeling like there is so much work out there, and since I don't mind the networking and negotiations, I could sub contract out some of the work and manage business and engineer resources.

TL;DR

I want to break away from the idea of working for another big company again and forge my own security and future. I want to start my own SaaS company, my own consultancy, or my own brand/info product. Or all the above!
I feel like this community is the best place to bounce ideas off of and also talk about these kind of goals and dreams. Any and all feedback is welcome.
