Turned an Excel CRM into a browser app using Claude.
I've been experimenting with AI as a way to modernize older Excel applications.
This project started as a VBA CRM.
The goal wasn't to recreate every pixel.
It was to preserve the workflow while making it accessible from any browser.
The result included:
• Contact management
• Activity tracking
• Responsive interface
• Light/Dark mode
• Free cloud database
One thing I found interesting is that Claude actually suggested features that weren't in the original workbook, including dashboards and reporting.
Still plenty of improvements to make, but I thought the experiment was worth sharing.
