Update: Day 2 — Building the Best Chrome Extension for Google Gemini — a Few More Sales, Pushed an Update
Quick update on Superpower for Gemini since yesterday.
A handful more sales came in overnight — nothing dramatic, but MRR is ticking up steadily.
I also just pushed an update today — mainly behind-the-scenes stuff: rewrote the upgrade justifications inside the extension and overhauled the Chrome Web Store description. Not the flashiest update but the kind of polish that matters for conversion and first impressions.
What I'm focused on this week beyond that is distribution — specifically getting the extension in front of people who write about tools like this. A CWS featuring would change the trajectory completely, so that's where most of my energy is going.
One thing I've been thinking about: the hardest part of building a Chrome extension isn't the code. It's that the Chrome Web Store is basically a black box for discovery. You ship something genuinely useful and then have to find your users manually. Would love to hear from anyone who's cracked CWS distribution.

This is a smart direction. Gemini is powerful, but the default workflow still feels messy once you use it seriously across multiple projects.
The folders, prompt library, queue, and export features make sense because the real problem is not only “better AI,” it’s managing the work around AI.
I’m seeing a similar thing with Vynly, but on the visual side. AI image tools are getting stronger fast, but the output gets scattered everywhere with no clean home for discovery or feedback. Tools like yours improve the creation workflow. I’m trying to understand what the “after creation” layer should look like for AI-generated images.
CWS distribution is a black box — agreed. One angle that might work: target the subreddits where Gemini power users hang (r/GeminiAI, r/ChatGPT). Not polished reviews, just genuinely useful threads where someone asks 'how do I organize my chats?' Your extension answers that cold. No CWS featuring needed if Reddit picks it up.
This is exactly what worked for me actually. Got around 1,800 users in the first two weeks almost entirely from Reddit. r/GeminiAI and a few other Gemini related subs were the core of it. That early momentum is what pushed the organic CWS installs later. Fully agree on the approach.
The CWS black box problem is real and underappreciated. The founders I've seen crack it tend to do one of two things either get a single high-traffic creator in the Gemini/AI tools space to mention it organically, or find the subreddits and Discord servers where power Gemini users already gather and show up there before pitching anything. The featuring is worth pursuing but it's a long shot and outside your control. The community angle compounds faster and you own it. The message queue feature is the one that would make me install it the friction of waiting for a response before sending the next thought is genuinely annoying. Is that the feature driving most of your sales so far?
Good points all around. The CWS featuring is basically free to pursue so it's worth the shot even if it's a long shot. Discord I tried but never got much traction there, Reddit was where it actually clicked for me.
Interesting on the message queue, from what I can tell folders are actually the bigger driver.
