I'm a full time sales rep at an industry-leading SaaS company who sends thousands of emails a week.
I've never been happy with the response rates to my emails, but I wanted to finally look under the fly swatter to see how gross the squished bug actually was.
It was bad.
Recent month:
I delivered 2,688 Emails
I got 55 replies.
2.05%. Yikes.
Discounting out the subject line's effectiveness, I got a RTOR (reply-to-open rate) of 4.38%. Still pretty poor.
Obviously, subject line and content are important. But we were utilizing professionally generated content + personalized templates with targeted variables, etc. etc.
Then something dawned on me. What if instead of improving content, I just made it much easier to engage? So I embedded some simple html into the bottom of the email that said 'Just text me' and it sent prospects to their SMS with a pre-filled + pre-dialed message: "hey Sam, I'm busy, can you just send me some highlights of your software?"
Click. Click. Send.
Now we're having a text convo (Sales Reps love these!) and even though I'm such a newb coder that this doesn't even work on desktop, I'm still generating a SIGNIFICANTLY higher response rate. It was just a matter of making it stupid-easy to get a conversation started.
I'm building jetly.io to share this technology with the masses. We're going to make it:
pretty (big shiny buttons)
smart (AI to hone-in on high-response verbiage)
scalable (integrates w/ outlook, gmail, etc.)
If you're interested in getting your email game up, please get on our wait list so we can keep you posted about all the tech coming down the pipeline.
Looking forward to going on the jetly.io journey with you guys!
Great stuff. Looking forward to it!
