I got some great feedback last time I posted. I took a lot of that and revamped my landing page a bit. Would love some more feedback! The site is https://trytrig.com
What do think about the idea? Do you understand it? Is this something you might use?
Does the site explain it well? Any feedback on copy/design is welcome as well.
Hey Brian!
This is a very nice, professional site you've got here. I feel like I grasp the concept, but it would be great to see a video demonstration of how it works in action—especially since organizers like this always have their own quirks!
Other than that, here are a few things:
The
What is Trig?section subheaders (e.g., "One Place for Everything", etc.) are really small and kind of a bad color to see. Ideally for this section, you want these subheaders to be large and clear as most people won't read every word on your website and these subheaders are the main take-aways you're trying to communicate.I was very confused how a $16/user/month plan was a "Lifetime Subscription". The framing used here makes me hesitant: am I not able to cancel once I subscribe? I would recommend making it more clear you're pre-product and launching at the end of the year. For example, I would put a kicker (small highlighted text before a big headline) above your
Automatic Knowledge Organizerthat says "Coming Fall 2020". It'll be much harder to miss than the string of text above your email capture.Lastly, I think for a $40 reservation, it would do you well to put an "About Us" on the website. Who is building this? Why? What's the vision? Without that backing it up, there's a strong feeling that this could end up vaporware!
Anyway, that's it from me! Looking forward to seeing how this evolves!
Best,
Arix
Hey thanks for the comments and taking the time to look through it. Lot's of good thoughts. I think I'll take out the lifetime subscription page altogether. I don't think it's adding anything here and just confusing things.
I plan on making a lot more blog posts in the near term. I want to get some traffic to the site before I release. I figure remote work, management, sales, and support might be some topics that my potential users might be interested in, and I have experience in all those, so hopefully I'll get some other good articles up soon!
The layout looks great: clean and simple. Overall it's a trustworthy looking landing page.
I would work on your positioning/statement to make it more powerful (and clear). To pay $6/user/month, I'd need to better understand the benefits Fig provides for the team. Probably a video would help, as I've never tried a similar product.
Personal opinion: I would ditch the dark brown hero header.
Good luck!
Hey thanks for the kind words and the suggestions. I think I'll make it more clear that it isn't ready yet. There will be a free trial when it is which will hopefully be enough to sell someone on the product.
Hey Brain,
I have gone through your website and it looks good but there are few design changes in my opinion that will make your website more attracting.
These are just the small changes in my opinion to make your website looks more interactive.
Personally I like your concept and waiting for your product to launch.
Hey thanks for taking some time to look. I'm not sure what you mean by the header section is not in the center of the screen. I tried to make sure it was centered?
"At first it looks like the images are not loaded but u have intentionally place them empty." Hmm I'm not sure what you mean by this either. There should be icons in the "What is Trig" circles. Are they not loading?
Thanks for all the feedback!
I'd say "Automatic Knowledge Organizer" isn't very clear, I had to read it twice and guess what it meant. Perhaps be more explicit - I think it's the word Knowledge as that could mean anything. When you talk of the files, links, folders, the actual things, you start to understand.
I think mainly I'd like to see how you've organized all my files, perhaps show an example?
I also think it's too early to ask for a Lifetime Subscription to something I haven't tried yet - perhaps at this stage if you haven't launched yet, you should have one clear objective of trying to get as many people subscribing for updates, so you can focus your call to actions on that perhaps
Hey thanks! Yeah I struggled with the headline. I agree "Knowledge" isn't clear. But I don't know what to change it to. Maybe "document" but I dunno if that's descriptive enough either.
I think you're probably right about the lifetime subscription. My idea was I wanted to validate the idea by getting someone to pay first. I honestly would be surprised if anyone did though, so maybe I should just ditch it. It would make subcribing for updates more prominent.
File System? Maybe do a brainstorm, you just want to say exactly what it is and the solution it's solving. Why did you feel the need to build it? That might be the answer that your users wants to hear. Like, "Your centralised filing system" (for instance, if it came about from having everything in different places) - what does it enable me to do?
The Julian Shapiro stuff on creating landing pages and value propositions is very good and might help.
I totally get wanting to validate, yeah. It would be difficult I think to try and get someone to pay until they've tried it. The validation at this stage could be finding out that people are at least interested in the problem you're trying to solve, then you could ask them directly what it is exactly that they're be willing to pay for
Hey thanks for the recommendation of Julian Shapiro. I haven't seen him before, looks interesting!
I'm honestly too deep into this to quit now anyways, so paying $40 is just gonna give me warm fuzzies, won't actually change my behavior, so makes sense to ditch it.
Try not to get pulled into the sunk cost fallacy - give it a good go by all means but be aware of carrying on just because you've put a lot of time into it
