UrbanGennie - need feedback

It needs a lot more explanation about what it does, for who and probably most importatntly - why this app. Will it be cheaper, have more workers, more user friendly,.. ?

Why would potential users sign up for the waitlist or fill out a survey? They don't trust it yet and they might need something in return. Like a promise of a free genie or something.

Hi Vibha, here are some quick thoughts:

1. I'm not sure what your primary target audience is, but at least in the United States, we spell the word genie with one "n" — I understood what you were going for right away, but it just looks like a typo to me.

2. Depending on your target market the concept is a fairly mature one at this point (TaskRabbit, Handy, etc.), so I think you need to either find an under-served niche, or make it much more clear what the advantage of your service is over other existing platforms. Alternatively, you could be operating in a developing market, without a good solution like this.

3. "Uses artificial intelligence to enhance user experience" - this feels like a non-sequitor buzzword sentence. That's a huge red flag for me. How exactly do you use AI?

4. What markets are you launching in? Who is this for? I'm much more likely to consider a startup like this credible if they have believable claims, so if you said - "we'll be launching our first pilot in Jakarta, or Phoenix Arizona", I might be interested if I happen to live in one of those places. Right now am I supposed to assume that you will operate everywhere in the world all at once?

5. Related to #4 - you just need a lot more information. Everything about this currently is vague and generic.

I think it's something that I would find very useful, as I think many people would. Therefore my question would be, why isn't there already a startup doing this? (I know of a few startups that do something similar to this, but none has -IMHO- dominated the market - at least where I live.)
Not to be critical, but I would encourage you to look at the constraints and reasons why this might NOT work, in order to understand how to solve them.
If I were you, I think I would start by talking to professionals in your area/country that you would like to have available for customers to book, and ask them if they would be keen on joining such a platform. I'm sure you would find a lot of valuable insights.

Aside from this, I would avoid using catchphrases like "machine learning" just to add validity to the product. Users are interested to understand what they get out of your product (compared to a competitor), not how you do it.

Good idea. I’d recommend adding content in your landing page that explains what it is, as opposed to just the video.

Also like the idea of emphasizing that it’s a marketplace for buyers and gennies.
