I'm nervous about using something like Canny for my Saas. If an idea gets posted that doesn't fit within the vision of my company things could get awkward. Anyone have experience with this?
Public voting boards can be helpful but they aren’t the only way to setup a structured customer feedback process. Public voting boards can have some downsides like groupthink and piling on.

Depending on your situation it might make sense to put a structured process in place to capture and organize feedback that keeps some or all of the feedback private.

As the philosopher Jagger once said: "you can't always get what you want".
And I think that if you try sometime you find you get what you need.
It seems to me that is better to have feedback which you can use to evaluate, prioritize and adapt to, than not having anything and try to guess what your users want.
You don't have to do it exactly as they want to, it might be that a given common request is more a symptom of something else is missing.
If all the feedback can't be actionable in one of your products it can be an opportunity to create a separate business (either by you or someone else).
According to their website, you can close ideas that don't make the roadmap and include an explanation: https://canny.io/idea-management
