Validated and Built a Product in 2.5 weeks
2.5 Weeks from Problem, To Research, To idea and then launch
We wanted to fix a problem we're facing. That way I can depend on customers as well as my own intuition
The goal was to productise the systems we used to cull 3 hours of meetings EACH day to just 10 mins now
I put a few posts out on FB groups, IndieHackers (a previous post) and Reddit
Got on phonecalls. 45 conversations later a design spec was ready
Focused on just the problems we found
👉 Useless check-in meetings
👉 Poor async conversation systems
👉 No proper follow-up system after meetings
After the conversations, we had designs done in 4 days with a prototype on the 5th
Recorded a demo video and uploaded it the site
Shared the site on HackerNews, Reddit, Slack/FB Groups, IH and on Twitter
Offering a GREAT buy offer (money speaks, email is okay) - ended up with 12 pre-sales, this is going up every few hours
Current stack is @vuejs @nodejs @hasura @PostgreSQL @awscloud @quasarframework
This stack is SUPER FAST for build - kudos to the team!
It's not "no-code" but tbh comes pretty close to no-code code
And like that 2.5 Weeks to build a product. We're onboarding people daily now. The product definitely hasn't hit PMF in any form and manner, I'm taking it by the day to see how we go.

I do think the type of product had a big play with it. I didn't do anything special other than post on a heap of groups etc
But since its "WFH" and "remote" and i positioned the post around struggles/problems people are facing many were very receptive
I did the same with another product before and got maybe 2 calls? So imo its defs a trending product category thing ?

What I meant was, I jumped on calls with potential users/customers. Tried understanding their exact problem and get feedback on the problem were solving
PMF is Product Market Fit, i.e your product fits a market need and ideally will see you have sustainable growth
Team is just me and another dev :)

It's actually great result, and I just wonder how you got your potential users, I mean how you made them share a phone number with you :) or you just made cold phone calls without preliminary phone scheduling?

^^^ Thats the message I sent out to everyone who commented on my post.
My post was also pretty straight forward " Hey everyone, I know WFH is tough at times. If you've got any complaints about WFH I'd love to speak to you about them"
Then I got them on a call and threw my questions at them, some of them were excited enough and asked what app i'm building and I gave them my website
