Validating a seasonal travel tool for nomads — need your destination decision stories

I'm exploring an idea: a tool that tells digital nomads the optimal time to visit a destination based on weather, crowd levels, and cost — all in one place.

Before building more, I want to understand how people actually make this decision today.

Some context: I spent all of 2025 accidentally chasing heat. Dubai from March to May (oven). Italy May to July (peak summer, tourists everywhere). South Africa Q4 (seasons flipped, their summer). Three great destinations, all at the worst possible time. And I only have myself to blame — but honestly, when you're juggling visas, flights, remote work, and accommodation, who has time to cross-reference weather patterns with tourist seasons with pricing?

I've already validated that no existing tool combines seasonal timing + crowd data + pricing. Nomad List shows city data but not when to go. Google Flights shows prices but not seasons. weatherspark.com has great weather data but nothing on crowds or costs. Nothing does all three.

If you're a nomad or flexible traveler:

1. Walk me through your last 2-3 destination decisions. What drove each one?
2. What tools did you use? What was missing?
3. Have you ever arrived somewhere at the wrong time — too hot, peak tourist season, everything overpriced?
4. Would you pay for something that solved this? If so, how much?
