Visual Aids for Blogs

Hey Indie Hackers! 👋🏽
I like the concept of testing out your ideas using blogs to see if there is even interest for it before building.
That being said, I've found that one of the biggest hurdles I face when creating blogs is coming up with enticing visuals to explain complex concepts.
Do you have any suggestions on tools/techniques to use for creating visual aids for blogs? Is adobe photoshop the only way to go?
