We are having a VERY hard time finding clients for our proposal, can you help me unlock ideas?

We make mistakes like most entrepreneurs.

We thought we had a GREAT idea and built it without really validating the business potential of it.

Today we have a developed platform and some clients, but they are not enough.

I feel like we have a GREAT product, interesting solution, but customers aren't on our radar.

What I can do? Can you help me get inspired?

Summary: We implement Headless Architecture on WordPress for any type of web project.

We do this to make the frontend programmer's job easier and save time.

Here you can see our website so we can draw more conclusions: https://gorillacms.com/en/

The problem, I don't know how to segment the type of client that may need headless architecture.

I really appreciate any ideas and sorry for my English. It is not my native language.

I would advocate drafting a plan. With minimal information about your business and state, I ask that you please take this recommendation with a grain of salt!

    Who my potential customers are?

    1. Talk with Digital Agencies. Look for small/medium agencies that develop websites using WordPress. Learn about their workflow and see where your solution can help them. Don't pitch your idea just yet, but instead, try to see if they are a possible persona
    2. Talk with WordPress developers. If you're targeting possibly small companies, they'll likely have one developer to do everything, the "full stack". Try to understand if your solution makes sense for developers developing websites using WordPress. What problems do they have that you're solving?
    3. Get close to them. By talking to them, you'll know where they hang out—possibly WordPress communities and frontend communities where they look for help and trends around WordPress development.

You have two possible ways here.

    1. Gain the developer's trust. If you're solving a pain for them, they'll advocate for their companies to buy your solution to make their life easier. If you're making the website faster, that's an SEO bonus; use that. If you're making shipping a website faster, that's also great. If you're helping with code reusability, that's another extra.
    2. Go to agency owners and project managers and show that developers will be X% more efficient, reducing the time and cost to ship WordPress websites.

If you haven't seen this yet, I strongly recommend the book "The Mom Test" before talking to the customers so you can get some insights on how to approach and get good value from those conversations.

Oh @hugodias, thank you very much for your time and help. All this that you indicate I have in mind since we started with GorillaCMS but I could never execute it in an orderly manner.

I am going to lean on your important points and put together a plan to execute everything and give it a record for at least 3 months to draw direct conclusions from small teams that are using WordPress in their stack.

So far we have worked on a handful of projects and they have all worked very well. Really using Headless Architecture to give the Frontend more freedom is a great value.

I just need to represent it as a value proposition and find the type of client that may be interested.

The space of use is very wide.

Friend, thank you very much for your advice!

I sincerely hope this helps and that you succeed! I was a WordPress developer many years ago, and I can relate. Back then, running a Javascript-only SPA-like frontend was a problem due to SEO, but I know that that's not the case anymore.

I've been to agencies that developed hundreds of websites a month, and they were constantly looking for ways to improve the velocity of shipping new sites or make it easier to maintain and reuse stuff.

        Best of Luck!

I have been building Micro SaaS HQ and I see this problem all the time with many people building products first and then talking to users.

Two ways to solve your immediate problem:

    Option 1: (More with marketing)

    • Start engaging in related communities and use tools like Syften that helps with keyword monitoring. It takes time but you will eventually build traction.
    • Launch on places like ProductHunt, BetaList asap

    Option 2: (More with sales)

    • Work more on Sales with Cold outreach, Cold DM.
    • I understand that you don't know your audience type so you can work with a GTM specialist in sales who could help with cold outreach via LinkedIn or so and they can fine tune your usecases and help with Enterprise outreach.

Hugo gave absolutely FANTASTIC advice and I'd love to add onto it if I can.

Can I ask if you're seeking clients that you'll implement the headless architecture for, or customers who'll be able to self-serve using the tools on your platform? It wasn't entirely clear to me from your site, although dev work certainly isn't my specialty so I may just be understanding!

Have you been able to put any of the other suggestions here into action yet?

Hey Jorje, try marketing on Reddit, one of the best places to look for the clients you want to target. I built www.promotee.co , you can give it a try for free.

The Costco Employee Website serves as a central hub for all internal communications and resources for Costco staff. The webpage is probably only viewable by Costco workers after entering their employee ID and password. https://costco-employee-website.info/
