Today we open-sourced one of the most important parts of RozVibe.
Not the UI.
Not the business logic.
The security architecture.
That includes the encryption model and the blind search architecture that power the app.
Some people asked me why I'd open-source something I'd spent months building.
The answer is simple:
If your product asks people to trust it with their most personal thoughts, trust shouldn't depend on marketing.
It should be something people can verify.
Privacy isn't a feature you can demonstrate with a screenshot.
It's something users have to believe before they ever write their first honest journal entry.
Open-sourcing our architecture means developers, security enthusiasts, and curious founders can see how RozVibe works instead of taking our word for it.
Even if someone never reads the code, knowing that it can be inspected publicly is a stronger trust signal than saying "trust us."
I'm also hoping it helps other developers.
When I started building RozVibe, I spent countless hours researching encrypted storage, secure key management, and how to make search work without exposing journal content.
If someone building the next privacy-first product can learn from our implementation—or point out ways to improve it—then sharing it is worth it.
RozVibe is still in its early days, and we're continuously improving it.
If you have time to look through the architecture, review the implementation, or try the app itself, I'd genuinely appreciate your feedback. Whether it's about the code, the security model, the UX, or something I completely overlooked, I'd much rather learn now than later.
Building in public isn't just about sharing wins.
It's about inviting scrutiny, learning from it, and building something better because of it.
