We launched the new version of Stage landing page. Roast it?

Hey indie-hackers! We asked for feedback about Stage old landing page about 2 months ago, and reviews were super helpful!

We listened to your feedback and completed a brand new redesign of our website and ask for your feedback again, good or bad!

It would be really helpful for us, and we'll be happy to do the same in return!

Please check it out here: https://stage.so

The first that came to my mind is how is this different from other popular design tools (Figma, Adobe XD etc).
Then I wanted to know if this was a free or paid one.
This statement - 'Everyone has brilliant ideas. Stage helps visualize them.
Design easier and faster without any distracting complexity.
No design or code skills required.' - can be made smaller; Lots of redundant statements; Information overload - around 5-7 words max.
Also, you can put the 'No Credit Card Needed' tagline below your CTA (Start Free) instead of the auth screen. This can lead to more signups.

Thank you for the feedback and for pointing out to problem areas. We will definitely work on the wording

So just a note, is that we're struggling to find product market fit too (currently at 10k MRR) and are grinding through the issue of landing page right now as well.

    My thoughts:

    • You're trying to say more than one thing and its confusing. Is it for no code app devs? interior designers? Product designers? The more options I'm given, the less I believe this is a perfect solution for any of them.
    • Wheres the external validation? I want to see real customers who have used it, and how they used it. I want to see logos of all the companies that use your thing. I want to see the apple store or google play store logo (assuming your on one of them). I want to see logos of news outlets you've been featured in (ie. Houzz, ProductHunt, Kickstarter, etc).
    • Any case studies?
    • It wasnt clear to me that the video demo was actually on a computer, not an app, at first.

Big thanks for the detailed feedback!

Social proof seems to be the weakest point on our website, definitely gotta work on that one!

Didn't get this one, could you please explain more on this?

It wasnt clear to me that the video demo was actually on a computer, not an app, at first.

It wasnt immediately clear that the video is a screenshare of your desktop while using the app. Theres a mobile phone in it, and I thought that was the preview. Rather, it seems that the video is a preview of software, and within the software is a preview of the mobile app being created.

Great job! Curious, under the "Visualize your ideas" header what tool did you use to create/record the on-screen video?

      Hey, thanks for the interest!

We used a built-in Mac OS recording screen tool, then we used https://cloudconvert.com/mov-to-mp4 to convert MOV to MP4 and decrease the quality of the video

Have to say that it does look great! Good job. Clearly tells me the value proposition that you're going for and your sections are easily digestible.

This is more of a side note, but do you have any company logos you can put on your page? It does help establish some credibility.

Big thanks! Yeah, we have some but they're really small companies at early stages, not top tiers like notion, nike, etc.

Do you think this would be a good idea to add them?

I do think so, you can run an A/B test to check. It worked for us!

thanks again, definitely gotta try this one
