We thought we were launching a LinkedIn outreach tool. Our LinkedIn Outreach API hit $1k MRR in under 4 weeks.

When we started Swarmhit, we expected most customers to use our interface to run LinkedIn outreach campaigns.

Some do. But the strongest early demand came from SaaS founders, GTM software companies, and AI teams that wanted to embed our LinkedIn outreach into their own products.

Their problem was not sending a connection request or message. A raw LinkedIn API can expose those actions. The difficult part is building the complete sales automation layer around them:

  • Outreach sequence logic

  • Account-level throttling

  • Natural pacing and activity limits

  • Multi-account management

  • Organization-wide controls

  • Campaign safeguards

  • Hundreds of LinkedIn edge cases

  • Continuous infrastructure maintenance

Building and maintaining this layer can quickly become a full-time product of its own.

So we pivoted the product to make it modular, like building bricks. Swarmhit is still a complete LinkedIn outreach tool for sales teams and agencies. But underneath, everything is now a brick you can take separately: senders, sequences, safeguards, the inbox, prospect data, events. Developer-first LinkedIn infrastructure that SaaS companies, GTM platforms, and AI sales agents can assemble into their own products, using only the pieces they need.

Our API, webhooks, and sequencer infrastructure handle the underlying LinkedIn automation logic. We have built more than 100 account safeguards into the system, including smart throttling, account limits, sequencing rules, and responsible-use controls.

Access to the infrastructure is gated because we want to ensure it is used properly.

What could you build with it?

  • An AI backlink outreach agent that finds relevant websites, identifies decision-makers, and runs personalized LinkedIn campaigns

  • A Gojiberry-style intent signal tool that detects funding, hiring, job changes, or content engagement and automatically activates outreach

  • A recruiting platform that sources candidates and manages LinkedIn follow-ups

  • A conference networking tool that connects attendees before an event

  • A white-label LinkedIn automation tool for a specific industry or audience

  • A complete multi-account LinkedIn outreach platform similar to HeyReach

  • An AI sales agent that combines B2B data, intent signals, and automated LinkedIn prospecting

Instead of rebuilding the LinkedIn automation infrastructure from scratch, builders can focus on their data, workflow, niche, and user experience.

In under 4 weeks since we made the change, Swarmhit has reached nearly $1K MRR, with most of our early customers using the infrastructure to power outreach inside their own products.

We are still early...I would love feedback from other founders and developers

Congrats on the pivot hitting nearly $1K MRR in under 4 weeks is a pretty strong signal that you found the better wedge.

With the API now being used by SaaS and AI teams, I’m curious what parts of running Swarmhit still require the most manual work from you outside of engineering.

Things like customer onboarding, prospect/customer research, documentation, QA, organizing feedback, or other operational tasks.

I’m building TaskRelay around taking those kinds of tasks off founders’ plates so they can stay focused on the product.

The interesting part is that the interface wasn’t where the strongest demand was. The underlying infrastructure was. That seems like a good reminder to pay attention to what customers are actually trying to build around a product, not just how they use the product you originally shipped.
