What about the fediverse?
Hi All,
Curious if anyone here is on the Fediverse (think, Mastadon, Pleroma, etc.). Obviously it's way way smaller than Twitter, et al. but I really prefer it over the larger SM networks (though I still check those regularly).
I'm curious if there are any makers building in public on the Fedi? If so, who? Even if it's not you, share some names so I can follow.

I started a new account in a more generic instance at https://floss.social/@amirouche (my previous account had 130 followers without trying).
I tried many times to grow an audience on twitter, but did not succeed. On twitter most of my followers were bots or the like... The conversation on the fediverse is very good quality. That being said, it is rather niche, the most interesting community in my opinion is ethical open source hackers.
Building an open (source) company on that platform is really a good idea with much potential for growth because floss is in dire need for successful business models.
Gave you a follow. Yea, I don't care so much about building an audience personally but I really have grown to prefer fediverse and want some like minded ppl to interact with. There's plenty of FOSS ppl which is awesome as well.
Hey there! I've been very interested in it, and spend some time on fosstodon (my handle is @m15o@fosstodon.org). However, I've recently found out about gemini and I feel like it's closer to what I enjoy. I was considering building activity pub (the protocol that powers the fediverse) into https://midnight.pub, but decided to lean toward gemini.
Gave you a follow. Yes, Gemini is very cool. I've been thinking about writing a quick plugin to serve the protocol for my blog as well.
Gemini is technically and ethically interesting, like static blogs are, simple made easy but what is there any room to make a sustainable living out of it?
I think there is great potential for growth in the scene of decentralized applications because there is lot of demand, but so far there is no business models.

I don't think I have - I'm not sure what it is! I've searched there are a lot of results about the SOLID principle, not sure that's what you were referring to.
