What are must-have features for a modern text editor?

Hi hackers 👋
My team and I are bootstrapping article editing experience. I wonder, what are your minimal expectations from the editor. The use case is about writing relatively long articles (documentation, informative posts, news, etc.). I am interested in the "writer" user perspective.

    I recently built a text editor (still a WIP)

    • Basic text
    • Should be able to copy paste stuff easily
    • Multiple block types (images, videos, iframes, lists)

    For customers to love it (currently we don't have, as they're hard)

    • Real time
    • Comments
    • Page revisions

    Depending where the content is published it also might need flexibility

    • There are tools that add this to Notion by changing the styles
