What are the legal considerations when creating a partnership with a cofounder?
I was just approached by someone interested in taking the sales/marketing side of a project while I build out the technical side.
I was wondering if there is any due diligence I should take regarding a 50/50 partnership and what I should get formally written down.
Note: I'm not looking to hire a lawyer or anything, just wondering if there is some sort of assurance that other indie devs do when partnering up.
If you need contracts to kick off your project - find another co-founder. There is gonna be so much mess and tough challenges that you won't make it with a person if you start with a formal side, not fun side.
