Seems like things have gotten pretty quiet in the Newsletter Crew group. That seems strange, given how much paid newsletters have flourished over the past three or four years.
There was a thread from back in 2020 that got a whole bunch of replies, where people talked through the tools they were using to produce and promote their newsletters, how they were tracking subscriber data, and so on. All the tools.
Any appetite for sharing what you're using here? I would go first, but I'm using a bespoke toolset for my CreatorPercolator.com newsletter (though it's mailed by Brevo on the back end), but I don't want to sound like I'm selling it here (which I'm not).
But I'd be super interested to learn what tools you're using and I'll bet other people would too.
Interesting question, I've noticed the same quiet spell here despite newsletters booming.
For analytics specifically, I'm seeing a weird gap: most newsletter creators I talk to use basic tools (Plausible, Fathom, or platform-native analytics) which only show opens/clicks. But there's this massive jump to enterprise tools like Chartbeat for deeper engagement tracking.
Nothing really exists in that middle ground for creators who want to know what readers actually engage with (which sections get read, where drop-off happens) without enterprise budgets.
Curious if others here have found ways around that, or if everyone's just making do with open rates and guessing?
