What do you do during your short breaks?

I'm working on a startup idea related to content consumption during short breaks and commutes. I would love to get your feedback on some survey questions to help me validate my idea.

  1. What do you do during your short breaks?
  2. During your commute, how long is it and what media do you consume?
  3. What audio length would you consider as bite-sized?
  4. How and where do you search for your favorite online content to read?
  5. Do you feel like you want to know what other people are reading?
  6. Do you know specific articles to read or are they recommended by others/algorithm?
  7. Compared to visual media, what is your perception of understanding content by listening to it?

I appreciate your time and feedback!

I'm happy to help with your survey! I usually check social media or read articles during short breaks. My commute is around 30 minutes, and I mostly listen to podcasts or music. I'd consider anything under 10 minutes as bite-sized. I discover content through recommendations, social media, and newsletters. It's always interesting to see what others are reading, and I often rely on algorithms or suggestions from friends. When it comes to understanding content, I find that listening can be just as effective as visual media, depending on the topic. Good luck with your startup idea!

Where do you get the articles to read? Is it shared on your social media feed, or you using any specific aggregator site, or else?

Would you share what's newsletter you currently subscribed?

1 rest or watch/listen to podcasts or interesting constructive content
2 not so long so don't consume anything
3 light = good, depends on what you want to do.
4 reading is pure SEO because a direct research online or reading posts from communities/socials
5 the businessmen inside me says yes because I want to know what people thinks, possibly will think and the level of general knowledge/skills/interests people have.
    6 algos do the most
7 listening only it's easy to lose track so losing pieces and forget faster

Can you share what podcast you listen to? Would you consider 1 minute as a bite-sized audio?

I can give you a few names, PBD Podcast, Mark Ross, PowerfulJRE, My First Million, Andre Huberman and other, mainly finance, geopolitics, current events, businnes health and fitness and sometimes light entertainment.

1 minute audios are very short and it's difficult to pack relevant information into it. it's rare to see short audios tackling interesting stuff the right way but still possible, it has to be precise, no surplus words and direct communication.
