What do you guys do when you hit a brick wall?

So today I really feel like I am hitting a wall again..

I have started multiple projects / joined an early stage startup over the last years and never succeeded (basically never got any traction..). To be honest, I feel quite beat down by these experiences.

Time and again I feel like there is this flood of doubts that come up that cause me to give up / abandon the thing I am working on.

The doubts come in different forms:

  • Everything I am working on has already been done and I can't figure out a way how I can be different
  • Start thinking about completely different opportunities that are more "shiny"
  • Traction is very low for the thing I am building

I do feel like I have progressed my skills as an entrepreneur / tech founder but I just feel a little lost how to push past these experiences and eventually build a real company.

Anyone else ever felt the same and / or can share some tips for solving this problem?

Yep, i am in the same boat.
I have always wanted to develop technologies that will change the world, but like you i kept on finding new "shiny" opportunities and then lost motivation.
This is what i figured out:

    1. I decided to only focus on one project, otherwise nothing would get done.
    2. To only create things that help people, even if it is for free
    3. To try and find customers early on to help motivate me to keep on going.
I am still working on this, but i am hoping it will help.
