Hey gang,
I just finished building Wangll: https://wangll.co
It’s an OKRs and goal tracking solution for remote teams. Wangll helps you build highly effective teams by putting goals at the heart of everything they do. Ensuring clarity of expectations with specific targets and deadlines.
I've been tinkering since November, and today, I finally decided to share this tool with you guys!
I'd appreciate some brutal feedback on the landing page and on-boarding. But be gentle, it's my first time.
Hey congrats! Love me some OKRs 🤓
Agreed with @Swlf - the page is a bit cluttered. I would
• Change the cookie permission to a low profile bar across the bottom of the page, like this https://d.pr/i/VH5HGc
• Disable the auto pop-out functionality of the chat
• Move the dashboard image down (but def keep it!)
• Replace the "Let's do it!" heading/link with a subheading that calls out a differentiator of the product (i.e. what makes Wangll different from https://www.koan.co/ ?)
• Add a "Join the Beta" button to the hero section
• Add some content to address questions about pricing
LMK if that's helpful at all, happy to help brainstorm differentiators and ways to address pricing concerns.
Thanks for all the helpful tips! I really appreciate the detail. I'll be implementing these.
I'd love to pick your brain on potential differentiators. My angle currently is an easier on-boarding for your team, and much more affordable pricing, i.e not paying per user.
I'm still trying to figure out a good price point. If you're available I'd love to get some advice on that. How would you like me to reach you?
Just followed you on Twitter, DM me there? @briandavidhall
Lots of fun problems to solve - competitor research, value props, and 🤔 the consideration that in the short term, getting ppl to opt in to "Join Beta" will be its own separate strategy. How many beta users do you have / still need?
I actually know somebody at one of your competitors so hopefully I can provide helpful context 🤞. (No funny business - both parties win when you're clearly differentiated)
Awesome, see you in Twitter then!
Really like the design @tabansi
If I've to drop one thing, it must be all the animations. I prefer a straight scrollable site instead of things flying around.
Would be awesome to know your feedback on my little project too!
Yeah, it might be good to tone those down. Thanks for the suggestion! VentureList is great, love how the value is simple, and front and center.
One thing I noticed: some sharing buttons don't work. Twitter only takes you to the social network linked. They also take you away from the page instead of the next tab. So I'd bet a certain percentage of people that click that link will forget they came from your page once they see some funny memes on twitter.
As an alternative: You could use the "navigator.share()" Api on a single share button to use the user device's native sharing (cleanest UX imho).

Congrats on the first iteration. Looks pretty sleek!
I pretty much agree with all the comment and would suggest a tip:
Try printing your landing page on a sheet of paper and trace with a big fat marker what is the path your visitor's eyes will take. if there's a lot of competing elements that disturb this path consider removing or deemphasizing some elements :)
hope it helps
That's an awesome idea 😃 I'd be using these for my pages now.
I'm not sure what this looks like in action and the visuals seem to suggest user interface at times but then they look like reviews
Right, yeah its seems I need to work on the visuals, especially the example Objectives presented. Thanks for the feedback!
I don't like the name. How do you pronounce it? If I told someone the name, how would they be able to spell it to search for it?
Can't tell what you want me to look at with all the cookie, and chat pop ups.
Good point, I didn't realise how distracting those would be. Thanks for the feedback.
As for the name, yeah the confusion would definitely hurt growth in the future. It's pronounced "Wangle" by the way :)
Nice. I would change it to something that is easily pronounced.
Tangle. Get Tangle. Wrangle. Get Wrangle.
Even something direct like 'Online OKRs' would be easier to find and search.
You're right, thanks again!
Amazing UX, well done. I love your website.
With what language/platform did you build it?I liked the popup on the right, and
overall it's really pleasant to navigate through it.
Really, I'm pretty surprised.
Now I'll try to be critical on purpose, but know I think you did a great work :
I would say that even though the message is really clear, which is good, I think the way the product is presented is not clear enough.
(Even though you made the effort to display a graphic presentation of the product, which I appreciated).
Like, the yellow message is hiding the picture on the right, while it shows the product?
I'm not really sure about wheather it's a website, an app, both?
On the second page, I'm not really sure about what it means? Why are there numbers? (Plus 1, plus 4...) ? I guess it's the number of leads generated, but it wasn't that obvious at first.
I like the percentage on the top, but I don't find the whole image that clear.
Also, that's just to inform you , but there is a typo on the third page . "ogranization".
Still on this page, on the right, do you really want to put "integration system" on the phone?
Will most people understand what it means? Plus, it's so big that it looks like it's the main point of focus on this page, more than an exemple...I like the fact that you presented the product pretty clearly this time, but this time, I wonder "what's the title?" Is it on the right, or on the left?
At the right, it tells me this product will build myself an integration system?
But then why is there a message about team efforts on the left?
I like the last two pages, pretty clear.
Last question : What would you say if people thought your product was going to increase stress in teams with constant investigation?
Anyway, I think you got something, keep up the good work,
your website is really great.
Wow! Thank you so much. This is a goldmine of tips!
Thanks for the compliment, I'm glad you like it! The website is built on Webflow, and the app itself is built with Vue.js.
Yeah I think I'd definitely have to switch up the product shot to make its more clear. I was attempting to do something unusual.
Also it seems like my example goals might be confusing so I'll take a look at how I can make it more clear, thanks for that tip!
The "Build an integration ecosystem" was an example of the type of goal someone could create on the app. So, again I need to make it more clear that it's an example.
Also thanks for catching the typo!
I'd say that it would do the opposite, because with clearly stated, measurable goals, managers wouldn't need to pester team members for updates and disrupt their workflows by pulling them into status meetings they don't need to be in. Only when a goal is lagging behind would the manager need to step in. It's goal management in a more sane, asynchronous way.
Again, thanks, I really appreciate the depth of your feedback.

Thanks a lot for this perspective! My strategy right now is targeting managers with teams that have implemented, or are trying to implement OKRs (the zealots). Then later on I'd make it more accessible to the target you beautifully described.
I'll take a stab at revisiting the quarterly goals vs deadlines conversation, I just need to test with some users to come to a conclusion.
