Interested in hearing what others think about listing missing features, in the sense of here are the features we provide and here is a list of features we don't currently support.
Have you seen any examples of SaaS companies doing this?
Are you ever going to support said features?
With Portabella I sometimes grey out things or put a BETA flag next to buttons...
I like the idea of greying out the features that I will support going forward but haven't implemented yet.
Portabella looks really interesting, and especially like the feature comparison table here: https://portabella.io/comparisons/trello/ refreshing to see that you have listed features that portabella doesn't currently support and not just listed the ones you do in the comparison.
Ha I had forgotten about that table. I guess that post is a better answer to your question.
In the end it's a balance of not wanting to BS people and not wanting to sell yourself too short.
I’ve seen a lot of companies with public product roadmaps, which is perhaps a more elegant way of doing what you are suggesting. Unless the goal is to filter out some non-ideal customers.
I think I want to highlight both features that I probably will never implement as well as features I have in the pipeline, hadn't considered public product roadmaps, good shout.
Thanks
