What do you think of natural language database query?

My idea is to create a chatbot (ex. slack app) that allows querying data from your analytics platform (mixpanel, amplitude or google analytics) using natural language, like "what's our revenue this month" or "show 7 days retention by last 3 months" and you get a number or chart with data you asked
Use case: when you are on meeting with your team or you can use only a smartphone and you want to get an answer about data at the moment, without creating a dashboard or report in analytics system or ask somebody to create it

As an ML engineer, I would say it would be extremely difficult to build. The idea is good. If you want to start an NLP based app, you would need tons and tons of data. As a company, if you don't have manually collected proprietary data, you will lose your competitive advantage. Google would just make a better version of your product since they have a huge volume of proprietary data. I don't want to discourage you. If you believe you could do it, try at least a single query. Zoho Analytics, from Zoho, has a similar solution with its Zia AI feature but it is very limited.

I was thinking of about converting text to SQL at the first step and go further with permanent customer development (and of course collecting more and more data for a dataset for model)

That would be amazing, but I believe it'll b be extremely difficult to build.
When I'm on the phone with management and they ask me about date, I usually need to explain things multiple times for them to make any sense of our Google Analytics. Explaining that we'll enough with a chat bot seems impossibly difficult to me.
