Hello,
We use trello for project development, and for multiple other type of tasks. We also use a various set of online tools for continuous integration, error logging, tracking, mail transaction as well as for business development and marketing.
Some of this tools are only available as SAAS, but most of them have a self-hosted counter part solution ( awesome-selfhosted/awesome-selfhosted )
If you try to search for "product" or "roadmap" in this list you won't find anything. And if you try to search for productboard.com alternatives you won't find anything either on alternativeto and on stackshare.ioproductboard/alternatives. Most the tools are more or less things to gather issues and show your users that they contribute / help build a better product.
The thing I'd like to know is what do you use to show your team, how the project moves in terms of :
How do you manage to get everyone on the same page ?
Please not that I'm not talking about how do you communicate in realtime about this (I see you slack users) but more or less how do you show that the project move forward.
The Kaban or the Gantt is not really a solution here either. Or at least, I have never seen a Kaban or a Gantt which correctly mix and show all of this information.
Thanks a lot Hackers !
Hello ! fellow Indies, after several research, we end up using basecamp and plain old spreadsheet.
Currently reading this post : https://coda.io/@yuhki/figma-product-roadmap to help build the do and don't of product management.
Hope you will share your process.
Hello,
I'm talking about clarity to see :
We are a small team, we could agregate everything at each end of the week but we feel it is a bit slow and we could have something more easy to manage
We mostly use Google Docs. And YouTrack for bug tickets.
Hello @joshdance,
thanks for your feedback. Well, Google Docs is nice but misses some clarity when presenting in a room or when you need to link with other tools. We feel the navigation should be easier : going from a trello list, to an email, to images, etc.
To make a clear doc, one should make a presentation each time and update it accordingly even if most of the work is not related to something complicated.
