If you're like most entrepreneurs, creating illustrations for your products can be a really time-consuming task in your workflow. Visuals play an important role in setting your product apart from the competition.
What do you use for illustrations in your products? Do you have a go-to resource or do you always design something from scratch (if you're a designer)? Have you ever considered using an AI-powered tool to generate exactly what you need? Would it be a good idea to explore this option?
I tried generating them with AI but they lacked consistency, maybe I just didn't spend enough time trying. In the end I outsourced an illustration to see how it would fit the design of the project and when I got the result decided to drop the images completely at first as I was spending way too much time on it. Now that I have an MVP online I might go back to them and see if I can come up with something decent.
That makes sense. Sometimes it can be difficult to get the consistency you want when using AI. Is your MVP online?
It is, https://focusdiner.io , it's just a bunch of tools I use every day bundled into one. I just put it up and haven't event started promoting, so it might be a bit buggy or weird at times, but hey, it's an MVP and it's online ;)
Thanks for sharing! how did you use AI in your product?
In the end, I didn't at all. I tried, realised that I wasn't getting the images I wanted so I dropped it. I'm pretty sure it was my fault for not being able to give the AI decent prompts, I guess that's an art form on it's own.
