What "dumb" idea ended up crazy successful?

In honor of Airbnb IPO'ing;

What other ideas that when you first heard about them, you immediately thought that this will never work? Only to be shocked later on!

I will go first, I thought Peloton is a pretty dumb idea but they are crazy successful.
