I just added a couple of useful features to my product so I’d like to send an email to all of my current and past customers that signed up to let them know.
There might be a few hundred registered email addresses. Does anyone have any recommendations on what I should use for this? Bonus points for low cost/free 😀
sendwithses.com or sendy.co.
Both send emails via AWS ses.
sendwithses.com is SaaS while sendy.co you have to download and host on your own servers.
I didn't know about sendwithses! Awkward website but interesting pricing. Anyone using it?
A team in my office set up a sendwithses.com account. It's been easy. Plan to use it mostly for sms and transactional emails.
Amazon SES is extremely cheap but requires some setup. There are services out there that handle that.
Use Mailerlite. By far the easiest to use. And it is free for your own needs. If you don't fall in love with it within a week, feel free to curse me :)
Second that Mailerlite is such a game-changer. I'm doing the same for my side project, which works really well!
Also strongly recommend Send Fox
@freezegun
I haven't used it myself but ConvertKit might be worth checking out.
I've used them all and always crawl back to Mailchimp. Best value and easiest to use. There is a new super simple platform out there - the name of which escapes me. I actually think it's owned by Mailchimp. Sorry I cannot remember the name but if someone else chimes in, it might be good for your purposes.

Are you using a 3rd party app for SES?

Mailchimp looks pretty good for my use case. Follow up question: What do you do when you need to list a physical address but you don't want to put your home address. Is there any good way to do that? (again cheaply :P)
Rent a (virtual) mailbox from https://www.anytimemailbox.com/ but there are many others
