I'm not a big fan of the "new year, new me" stuff, but I think the end of the year presents a natural time to reflect.

What was your biggest mistake this year, and what did you learn?

I'll start: Not rigorously keeping up with the daily habits I established. I started out good but my consistency began lacking in the long run which ultimately left me with months of not following my daily habits like learning code. In short, my key takeaway is that you can read so many habit-related pieces of advice, but ultimately you need to adapt them to your own needs – and that takes some work. Try, iterate, try again – and figure out what works for you.
