What will you define as a 'high level marketing' plan?

Strategy and planning ahead tends to build a strong foundation to effective marketing and helps with structure as well.

For high level marketing plans, I tend to identify the key pillars to what marketing efforts are important to the business.

For example for a User-centric company

  1. Evergreen: Thought leadership, Product marketing, Team stories.
  2. Campaigns: Seasonal, promotional, product-specific.
  3. Community Building: Engagement, Surveys, Community-voted Ideas, User generated content

From there, I craft a rough template on Phases [Awareness/Conversion/Retargeting, etc.] + Timeline + Details on effort.

Sometimes I don't really know where to start or stop when it comes to coming up with a strategy/plan.

Just curious if this is something fellow marketers face as well?
Or am I just still unclear of what 'high level' really means?
