What would make my landing page better

Hi all, I'm hoping to get some feedback on the landing page for a service I've recently launched/made public etc.

I, as I tell people who ask me for help designing web pages, am not a designer. So, I turn to those who might have a better eye for it than me. Roast it, tell me what you hate, like, or if it doesn't make sense at all!
Here it is: https://spectraretail.com/

For a little bit of background, it's a bit of a niche product for Lightspeed Retail POS ( and maybe others in the future ). It's a LS retail is a product I've done a good bit of integration work/consulting for over the years, and I know there's a market for what I've built... but I have a feeling that I may need to work on my messaging.

Thanks for taking a look!

    It already looks really good!

Maybe add some more spacing on the landing page before you scroll to the rest of the information. Looks a bit busy now when you land on it.

    Keep it up!

❌ H1 not specific enough to what your solution does
    ✅ H2 Good
❌"It's about your data" not specific enough, you're more about unleashing your data to be used in a more useful way if I read this correctly...(I am guessing) ?
❌ You're not saving time only - you're building custom reports, that's the true benefit - better insights
❌ Pricing weird if they're all start for FREE then why have 3 tiers? Put everyone on your highest tier for 7 days then ask them to choose a plan. Reduce thinking ahead of time.
❌Before the footer you have 4 cards: in one card you spelled Learn more differently from the other 3

    ❌Lack of footer
    ❌Lack of testimonials
    ❌Lack of legal stuff/contacts
❌Lack of images of reports/tool being used

    Sorry for being THAT guy!

I asked for it! Thanks for the feedback! I think you've got some good points there. This copywriting stuff is way harder than actually building things!

The site looks really polished and professional. Love the illustrations as well 👌

    Some mandatory roast:

    1. Your H1 could give a bit more information on what your tool does.

This could be a good start, but it can go further down this road:

Your Lightspeed Retail Data Come Alive

    1. "Save time" and "Streamline operations" are good headings. "It's about your data" is not. Maybe update it into something closer with the spirit of those two?

    2. Your call to action buttons like "Start for free", "Try SpectraRail for free", etc could be more prominent. Why not use that nice green color of yours that you have in your first illustration?

    3. Plan price section in your pricing boxes are overcrowded. I almost don't want to say split the yearly and monthly in two screens and place a toggle at top, but maybe you should.. Or at least find a way to make this information easier to scan.

That's it from me, good luck with this product!

Crowded is a notion I've had as well, and that's one of the things that I'm fixing! Thanks for the feedback and checking it out!

I think the other responses nailed a lot of the things I’m seeing.

One piece I’d add is that it looks wonky on a Mobil device (specifically an iphone).

There are a few elements in the header that need to probably just disappear on the smaller screens.

Fair. I honestly haven't really spend too much time testing on mobile devices. It seemed okish on my phone... but that's not a particularly good metric.

Yeah, I'm tracking the screen resolution of all the feedback I'm getting (responsive was a distracting element for my last build), and I'm realizing most people I'm getting feedback from are on LARGE screens. I'm hoping to add a little different of perspective by looking at smaller screens. Good luck w/ your page!

    Interesting Idea @mattanger, Congratulations!

    Some observations
    * Hero section seems to have a lot of information because of showing the details related to the features/highlights(it's about your data section). Can you move that to the next section so that the hero section is simple & clear about what lightspeed is, in a few lines
    * In the hero section below the CTA, I think you can mention the free trial for 14 days(users will get the idea immediately instead of scrolling down to find the details in the pricing section)
    * I think having some snapshots of your product on the homepage would give some idea to the users.
    * A demo video possibly could be useful too.
    * Pricing section seems to contain a lot of data because both monthly and annual price exists in the same place. Can you add a radio button of sorts and have the user select either monthly / annually and present the data exclusively to the choice. Will remove the clutter

    Hope it helps!

I've seen way worse in terms of landing pages.

The biggest issue on your page is that you missed the mark with your key headline.

    Instead of:

    Embrace your Lightspeed Retail Data
SpectraRetail gives you the tools to control your data.

Which doesn't say anything really valuable, you could go with something like:

    # SpectraRetail
    ## Build reports, charts and dashboards from Lightspeed Retail in a few clicks

Then I'd probably go on about what they can do with those reports:

    • Save time
    • Save money
    • Generate more sales
    • Better manage inventory/cash flow

And whatever that could have benefits for the business.

    Then, the pricing table.

Then, some transition to the techical details explaining how this work, or whatever to alleviate fears and concerns, technical details.

Then, a recap of features per plan, and a button to sign up, or a call to action (just one, not all three) along the lines of:

    • Still not convinced, give it a try, or
    • Schedule a demo or
    • Drop us an e-mail

Thanks for taking a look, that's just what I needed to hear. I'm going to tweak the copy to be more customer focused.. which it should have been in the first place.

Hi, I like the fact that you used a good color pallet, but I think your site is a bit too short it's like all should be on one page, try to make your site more complete.

A mistake that many startup make, is talking about your features. When making a website Do NOT take about your software, but instead talk about your customers problem and that is the solution you make to fix THERE problem. Then making a website it is very important to think like YOU are the customer, and as a customer what you want is: fixing problems, finding solutions.

Pricing should always be in sale, when an item is always is sale it gave the customers to hurry and buy the plan. Take Amazon for example, all product is in sale.

Some companies push it a step further by putting a timer of then the sale will end to really hurry the customer by thinking it's a really good deal.

price should also never be a $10.00 but instead $9.99 it looks cheaper thats why almost all grocery store is $_.99, $.58 etc...

Hope I was clear, If you have question feel free.
