Happy Friday everyone!
I'm gearing up to launch usebolt.io (a platform to easily collect design feedback on live websites and static designs), and I've got a really spotty pre-launch/launch checklist. I prioritised building over marketing, for sure.
I do have a mailing list of about 130 people, but hoping to grow that before launch.
I'm planning on doing the usual; PH launch, Indiehackers, Hacker News etc., but I'm curious to see what your usual steps are. Any help is appreciated!
I try to engage with my audience as much as possible prelaunch. I've never had a checklist per se, but I do ensure to build my audience before launch so that I have real users from day dot.
Things I do:
• Create relevant content (e.g. a mailing list) for my product beforehand. I create newsletter content relevant to my niche
• Post snippets on Twitter and relevant social networks
• Use Reddit / LinkedIn / Slack communities to grow my mailing list
Otherwise I just ensure that my website/app is prepared for traffic and everything works smoothly.
There isn't ever one launch, so don't sweat it too much.
Nice product by the way :-)
