What's Your Process For Retaining Podcast Insights & Knowledge?
I've been thinking about solving this problem for a while:
Who else here struggles to keep track of show notes once they've finished a podcast? What's your process for retaining the insights/knowledge gained, e.g. how do you remember important things from the podcast?
Do you just listen to the podcasts and review the show notes later on? Do you keep notes while listening to it? (That's difficult for me as I listen in the car or while walking)
It would be so nice to get a weekly digest (or even straight after finishing it) of all the show notes. Or maybe even a summary with important key points, almost like Blinkist for podcasts.
Does anyone here know if such a tool exists?

I just review later on.
If it's something I want to use later, I usually just create a note in my favourite note tool (usually the standard one in iOS) and put thoughts in my notes while listening.
Carsten, like Justin said, Smash Notes has been my way to document interesting podcast segments, and to share them with the world. It's been a few months, but there's already a collection of thousands of little bits there. Yes, this is something I'm working on very actively. Although I've run out of time to make a lot of notes myself, so I am slowly opening up the editor to the public.
I envision Smash Notes to be a place you could learn about anything, and then hear it out loud in a podcast bit.
I try to take notes in OneNote while listening to the podcast. I paste the link in the title and start writing as soon as I hear something worth writing.
Usually I listen podcasts on my commute or when running.
For taking notes when driving you can yell "OK Google" and ask it to take a note.
Nice flow, it's a bit more complicated on the iPhone and I tried the same. It's just a little cumbersome.
Yessss! Let's do this. I'm constantly thinking about this for audio books, too. I have a collection of clips somewhere in audible land - wouldn't it be great to capture clips for podcasts somewhere, too? Maybe order a small notebook with my clips printed, or something? Idk I'm just riffing. But, awesome idea, thought about this one for a while, would be interesting to figure out how to implement it.

This is something worth to try solving, at the moment I just take notes on notion or record an audio to be able to listen it after again
