In David Hirsh book, The 5 Kinetic Rules of Creative Leadership, he lays out the case for what he calls "creative persistence." According to Hirsh, creative leaders need to be "willing to stick with an idea and see it through even when it's not immediately successful." This doesn't mean blindly following a bad idea down a rabbit hole; rather, it's about being willing to experiment, take risks, and learn from failures. As Hirsh writes, "Creative leadership is not about having all the answers; it's about being open to new possibilities and being persistent in making them reality." In other words, when you're uncertain about what to do next, the best course of action is often just to get started and see where the process takes you. By embracing uncertainty and pursuing your ideas with tenacity, you'll be more likely to achieve success.
