Where do IH'ers find extra help?
TLDR: We're about to launch, but need some UI/UX magic to make the whole thing feel nicer than the barren bootstrap it is now. How would you guys go around finding that person? I've tried posting on LinkedIn and relevant Facebook groups.
You could try posting in the IH Jobs group.
Posting what the Site does/url/links.
Posting that you're open to giving cash/something in return for the help.
If your name is bill gates/elon musk.. people flock to help... since we're not either of those and we have no trust fund.. you need to be seriously clever..
Tell guys you know how to get them cheap disneyland tickets.. you're going to have to pretty much win the lottery on this one.

Used to live in Bay Area Cali, and hang out at the hackerdojo during 2008. We held a number of get togethers where people with startup ideas would do a 3-5 minute pitch, with the constraint being there could be no consultants in the audience as the startup people had no cash.
As far as I know over the 2-3 years, there were never any matches made. This is the road we travel.
The best bet for finding "team" members, are either through peers in college, or via family/work peers.
but again, experience sucks!

Also, you never know when a posting of yours might pique the interest of someone with a UI/UX background! 😉
