Where would you host your landing page for a launch?
Hey Indie hackers 🙋♂️
I am about to build a landing page for a future product. I guess there will be a traffic peak the day of the PH launch, and I was wondering where would you recommend to host the landing page to avoid any latency in this circumstance?
For more context at first glance, it will be a static website running on Jekyll.
Does Github pages will be enough?
Is Heroku not too heavy solution, by adding some Dynos the time of the launch?
I am interested in Netlify too, any feedback?

I like Netlify for static sites. Really nice setup and deployment. Agree with @ItsSteve about using Heroku if you need any backend logic.
GitHub pages! Has https, it’s free, uses CDNs and you can always put it behind Cloudflare. It’s perfect for a few simple pages, and it’s my current set up :)
Hey @PatrickS, many thanks for the feedback, I also run my side project website on GH pages but do you have experienced it with a lot of traffic? I am curious to see what it’s like in terms of performance.
I wouldn't worry too much. Monzo, a UK bank, ran their home page on GH pages for a long time when they were in Beta. If it worked for them then I've no doubt it would work for you too.
@PatrickS I'm afraid you underestimate my ambition in terms of expected traffic ;p
I have a simple EC2 with 1GB ram hosting a static website that handles 30millions monthly views for a client, I think you're underestimating the needs for your product, any of these services will handle just fine.
