Which is a cheeky way of saying - quite a few of the tools on the market are pretty pricey - which sucks when you're first starting out because it's a numbers game.
Which one chat pop-up plugin is the friendliest...and most cost effective? Apologies if this is super obvious! Hope you can help. Would need to plugin to either Webflow or Carrd.

It's entirely free. They make their money from selling live chat agents, not the software. PS not sure if it works with either of those however.
That's coo, thanks! Will check this one out for the Wordpress sites, pretty sure it will work there!
Heya! I'm making one called Letterbase. I think it's pretty nice because it's more like a contact form. This means you don't need to be manning live chat 24/7, which saves you a lot of time/stress, especially in the early stages. It's also pretty affordable.
There's no plugin for Webflow or Carrd, but they have support for custom code where you can put our installation script, and it should work fine. You may need to be on their paid plans to do this though. Let me know if you decide to try Letterbase and I can help you out with the installation.
Hey there! Thanks for this - looks nice, privacy-friendly and clean. And yep they have support for custom code :-) I'm definitely pitching for a freebie but will jog back once we're clear to upgrade what we use. Appreciate the support - again I may well take you up on that!
No problem! I totally understand going for a free option in the early stages :)
I use https://crisp.chat. It's free up to two agents. It's enough for me. The chat looks nice. You can see the live users on your site and start to chat with them, and it's cool.
This looks cool, can't believe how high the price jumps after 2 users! Will have a mosey at this one, cheers
