Finding the editing to be pretty difficult if I'm not as creative, but I'll just have to practice.
Good luck! Indeed, editing can be a pain. At first i was aiming at pretty, animated, motion-design kind of videos, but recently realized that talking head videos, selfie videos and simple person-talking videos perform way better on average, which is good. For example, i have played around with Canva on my phone. I can record the video as i create the design for it and export it ready to post, all under 10 minutes. But of course, depends on the kind of video.
Does any know how I can make a product introduction / tutorial for fabform.io on ticktock?
Any ideas would be appreciated
Just my 2 cents... i think you could attack each pain one at the time. For example,
and keep them simple. test it out starting with talking head or screen recording showcasing the product.
I take a stab at it every so often but then I kinda bounce off it again.
I'm strong on efficient video production but it's a pain having to create separate vertical videos when I'm getting decent engagement on YouTube and Facebook with more traditionally formatted (horizontal) videos. Feels like it requires a very different approach to content too (much more emphasis on humour and entertainment than more straightforward product demos).
I keep trying to build consistency but I can't seem to manage it.
Ah, true! Not only a different approach to content, but also a different content. If on Youtube / Facebook the rule is to script videos as a TV show or movie (with acts, climax, denouement), TikToks should be using "teaser-trailer" structure. More candy, less nourishing. As bait to hook people to other, more in-depth, content channels.
Because I'm in Belgium :(. I tried TikTok, but didn't know it only shows your TikToks regionally, that means for me: mainly Germany, partly Belgium and France.
So basically, TikTok expects you to build a local following before going further. Now if you have an English product, forget about it.
Trying to trick TikTok into thinking it's in US is also difficult it seems. So I don't bother anymore. YouTube does the thing for me, and it knows how to reach my intended audience. TikTok however, has no clue about 'intended audience'.

what segment are you marketing to? do you think tiktok is viable for b2b?
well, that's the thing. i'm b2b, but i am not yet making my own tiktoks. my clients are b2c. i am about to start diving into tiktok for b2b and that's the reason i am asking, to understand common objections, valid concerns and to gather some ideas as well. i am developing a kind of "method" of, let's say, minimalist marketing that's all about minimum effort and maximum return. for my b2c clients (small businesses, local businesses, professionals) that means tiktok and instagram reels, currently. and i have reason to believe this can be adapted to b2b as well. specially because the cost of production is minimal and you can split test ideas and campaigns for free. and fast.
that makes sense. Major objection for b2b is that b2b audience don't hangout on tiktok so generally for b2b people prefer linkedin. However there is no data to back this claim it is just anecdotal. Please do report back if you try it for b2b and it works.

Videos are a shitton of work to produce. I think that deters most.
Also while the user numbers of TikTok are impressive, doesn't mean that they are you market. Out of earnest interest, would you say someone who for example is building invoice software for gardeners would get leads from TikTok?
Hm, i get your point, not wrong . But a selfie video takes minutes to produce and post. I bet my garden i can get leads with content such as the following, using videos that would take 15 minutes to produce and post...
