A company changes a workflow, adds an approval step, needs a different report, or wants to modify a field — and suddenly a seemingly small change becomes a development request, a consulting project, or another line on the invoice.

The irony is that every company has its own way of working, yet we still expect businesses to adapt themselves to software built around predefined workflows.
