Growing up with ADHD was like trying to focus on a rollercoaster ride. Everything was a blur, and the only time you could sit still was when you were lost in the world of gaming magazines and biographies. You devoured them like a hungry shark, and before you knew it, you were reading Steve Jobs' biography. At first, you didn't even know what the word "entrepreneur" meant, but that book changed your life forever. You became obsessed with the idea of starting your own company and building something from scratch. The problem was, you had no idea where to start. So, you did what any determined person would do, you learned how to code and started building silly little projects.
One day, you stumbled upon the movie "The Social Network," and it blew your mind. You couldn't believe that a college student was behind Facebook's creation. You always thought that successful companies were built by super geniuses in their mid-50s. But this movie shattered that belief, and you knew that you could do it too.
Fast forward a few years, and you're now 25 and trying to figure out how to make your startup a reality while juggling grad studies. It's not easy, but you know that you have to keep pushing forward. You remember what Mark Cuban said, "I rather make $50k working on my own than making $170k at a big company." You know that it's all about mindset and that you can't give up on your dream. But before you could make your dream a reality, you had to work a few jobs to gain experience. You landed a job as a biz dev intern, but after four hours, you knew that it wasn't for you. The environment was toxic, and the boss was unbearable. You quit on the spot and never looked back.
Now, you're more determined than ever to make your startup a success. You know that it won't be easy, but you're ready to put in the hard work and make it happen. After all, nothing worth having comes easy. So cheers to all of you on the same path. 🍺
