Why I stopped putting my "coding music" on loop after 2 hours

I run a faceless YouTube channel making long-form focus music — no voice, no face, just audio and visuals for people doing deep work. One thing I've been testing: most "coding music" content treats a 4-hour session like one flat block. In practice, a late-night build doesn't feel like that — there's a dead zone around hour two where focus cracks, then a second wind that hits differently than the first hour did.

My latest upload tries to score that shift instead of ignoring it — cold electro that pulls back around the 80-minute mark, then rebuilds tension toward a "final commit" push near the end.

Curious if anyone else building late at night has noticed that same hour-two dip — and if so, what actually gets you through it? Music, a break, something else?
