Why my app suddenly got many downloads from 'app referral'?

So I built an app but have not actually promote it in any means because we're still validating the idea. But recently the app got >100 downloads from 'app referral' in 3 days.

The downloads did not gone through our landing page because it got very little traction on the same 3 days. So what does that mean? What happened?
