Why We're Adjusting Beavy's Launch Timeline

One of the more difficult parts of building a startup is recognizing when sticking to the original plan is no longer the best decision.

When we started building Beavy, we had a launch timeline in mind and every intention of meeting it. But as development progressed, conversations with a few founders, and feedback from people interested in using the platform pushed us to revisit some of our assumptions.

None of these conversations led to a dramatic pivot. Instead, they reinforced something simple: launching on time matters less than launching with confidence.

So we've adjusted our timeline.

Our mission remains the same. We're building Beavy to help local food creators get discovered and grow their businesses without the high fees that have become common across many platforms.

As founders, there's always a tension between shipping quickly and taking the extra time to get the fundamentals right. We're choosing the latter, even if it means waiting a little longer.

For those who have launched products before, how did you know you were ready? Was there a specific signal that gave you confidence to move forward, or do you believe products are never truly "ready" and should simply be shipped?
