Fourth day of the sprint (check out the previous update here). Another day of frantic work here and there. Honestly it was one of those days where it just zips past you making you wonder what happened. Wasn't as fruitful as I would have hoped and the metrics really show that.
Acquire 50 new premium user for Ryeboard
Like I said, the metrics weren't as exciting as I had hoped. Also feel that I should be spending more time doing the selling rather than building more features. But this team plan I've been working on could be a game changer so... not really sure...
That's it for today! Gonna make sure tomorrow is a better day than today.
why not offer a lifetime deal for your first 50 premium users?
Great idea!
How do you measure stickiness?
Last 7 day users / Last 30 day users!
Some people do it based on the previous day users but for my app the last 7 days made more sense. I use it as a general (VERY GENERAL) indicator of retention rates.
Hi John! Congratulations on the work you have developed so far! I am in YC Byilding too, hope to cross faces at some point!
Have a question about your product, how would you differentiate yourself from Miro? Thanks
Sweet, nice to meet you @joalavedra! How is your progress currently with the sprint?
Miro is one of the great tools amongst a surprisingly long list of services out there (whimsical, mural, milanote, etc) that provide online whiteboard solutions. These tools tend to focus on whiteboarding sessions and have tons of features you can use to make real-time, online collaboration easier.
Ryeboard takes a slightly different route. While Ryeboard is no slouch when it comes to real-time, whiteboard based collaboration, we place a heavy emphasis on the content that users generate on whiteboards.
The explanation was a little bit more technical than I would have liked but I was on a tight schedule writing this, hopefully it made sense!
Understood! Thanks for clarifying :)
Also by conversion rate do you mean number of people who make an account or number of people who go to the sign up page.
Hello again @yiblet :)
I don't think I ever posted our conversion rates but yes, we consider our conversion rates to be (new visitor count) / (new free registrations)
