Hey everyone, since IndieHackers is all about celebrating small victories and sharing experiences, why not share with you that I have my first customer on Capyflow (29$ mrr)!
How did I get this client?
With Linkedin !
I made a post (in French :D) to share with my network that I was working on Capyflow. The post didn't work very well but someone added me. I saw that he was potentially in my target group, but he's the founder of a SaaS development agency, not a software founder. But we started building a relationship and talking about SaaS. He told me he was having problems with CSV imports for one of his clients' SaaS. I told him I could give him a demo and he gave me the expected data format, I built an importer and sent him a demo. He was happy, his client subscribed and he integrated (with my help) Capyflow into his client's software :)
How I plan to find my 10 next customers ?
1 customer is a good starting point, but it's not enough to buy a yacht. So I need to find more customers.
I'm trying to do things that don't scale to find my first 10 customers. So I try to find a few SaaS founders on linkedin, then I try to find their emails, then I send a personal email. All this is done manually. For the really "hot" prospects, I plan to build a demo importer with their CSV data format (I can often find this in their documentation) and send it to them to see if I get better results.
What is Capyflow ?
It's my self promoting moment :D
Capyflow is a CSV import platform that help small and medium SaaS to build the best CSV importer in the world. More details here: https://capyflow.com
