Youtube for developers?

Create a youtube-like video platform only to serve developers? Small niche? What do you think?
I had a similar idea some time ago. I didn't really want to compete with YT and all the course-platforms out there so I thought of serving a specific audience with very specific features.
It would still be a video-first platform but record all the keystrokes when streaming/recording and show a timeline on the page. Like asciinema or similar. Didn't go anywhere with it tho.
why not give it a shot? what makes you to drop that idea?
Time constraints and that I didn't really experience the problem. I thought it would be a cool vitamin. Not a painkiller.

Hmm....But youtube has everything right. There udemy and linkedin as well.
I learned tons of technologies last year all from these resources and didn't find a need for another platform unless a new platform gives a differentiated service.

Hmm, it would not be a course-based platform, it's just a community where developers can share their work and life in a vlog format.
