I'm curious what convinced you pricing the alpha like a T-shirt was the right way to attract early users. Are you mainly optimizing for committed feedback, or trying to learn whether the convenience is compelling enough that people will pay before the product is fully finished?

  The app is mostly finished already. I wanted to sell a product but mark it as alpha to reduce expectations.
