1PixelStory

Collaborative art: one pixel + one message per person.

May 6, 2026 I built a collaborative web experiment: one pixel, one message (feedback welcome)

Hey IH — I’m building a tiny collaborative art experiment called 1PixelStory.

Each person chooses an active artwork, adds one pixel, and writes one short message. When a canvas hits 100 pixels it gets archived permanently.

What I’m trying to learn:

  • does the “one pixel, one message” constraint feel fun vs frustrating?

  • would you come back later to see how it evolved?

  • what social mechanics would make it stickier (reactions, reply-near-pixels, rare event pixel)?

If you want to see it in action: https://www.1pixelstory.com

Would love blunt feedback: is there a hook here worth iterating on?
