September 8, 2026 I got tired of buying dead leads, so I built one that throws most of them away

Hey IH. I'm Don. I build and run a few small AI products solo, and the one I want to share here is Alpha AI Leads. The problem is boring but expensive. If you sell anything to local businesses, the lead lists you can buy are cheap, huge, and mostly dead. Bounced emails, disconnected numbers, businesses that closed. You pay for 10,000 and a few hundred are actually reachable, and you learn which is which one wasted send at a time. So I built the opposite of a big list. Alpha AI Leads pulls fresh business data, verifies every lead, and drops the ones that don't pass. Roughly two out of three never get delivered. What's left is contactable, which is the only part of a lead that's worth paying for. I'd rather hand someone a few hundred leads they can reach today than ten thousand they'll bounce off of for a month. Where it's at: it runs headless, since I'm solo it has to hold that quality bar without me watching it, and it's landed its first paying customer. Nothing viral, just a pipeline that does one thing and does it honestly. What I'm chewing on now is how to reach more of the people who actually sell to local businesses, the agencies, service pros, and small SaaS teams who feel the dead-list pain most. If you've ever bought lead data and hated it, I'd genuinely like to know: what made a list worth paying for, and what made you cancel? Reachable beats big. That's the whole idea.
